We are seeking a highly motivated, passionate, talented R&D Food Scientist to join our journey. This full-time position is based at our Rehovot office (@the Kitchen hub)

A Glimpse into Your Day

• Operating in a state-of-the-art lab, where you’ll design experiments, analyze data, and fine-tune processes
• Pioneering novel extraction methods, from lab-scale prototypes to full blown production
• Executing a well-planned R&D strategy, complete with GANT charts, to oversee the development of extraction processes, tests, and applications
• Reviewing scientific literature and data
• Defining work methods and writing product specification
• Producing scientific documentation like protocols, reports, and SOPs
• Managing collaborations with external entities, including: labs, suppliers, toll manufacturers

Requirements

• A passion-driven professional capable of developing products from concept to production
• An M.Sc. in Food Science, Biochemistry, or Chemistry, with at least 2 years of industry R&D
• experience. Alternatively, a Ph.D. in proteins, biotechnology, or equivalent
• A creative and open-minded thinker, who embraces a “can do” and hands-on approach
• Excellent proficiency in both Hebrew and English, facilitating effective communication
• A self-driven learner, always eager to expand your knowledge

Forsea, a revolutionary, cutting-edge cellular agriculture company, is looking for a Researcher to join its growing R&D team.

Job Description

The researcher will work alongside leading experts in the field to plan and execute all aspects of cell culture development. The candidate will preferably have experience in cell culture techniques, with stem cells media formulations, and knowledge about other methods and techniques used in the field. Experience working with Embryonic Stem Cells is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and executing experiments in cell biology
• Developing and optimizing cell culture media processes
• Evaluating and adopting lab practices and methods
• Writing scientific reports and procedures
• Manage collaborations with subcontractors and consultants

Requirements:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Life Sciences or a related field
• Experience in media formulation development for cell cultures
• Experience working with Embryonic Stem Cells is an advantage.
• Experience in handling adherent and suspension cell cultures
• Practical knowledge in multiple lab techniques such as RT-PCR, ELISA, FACS, immunohistochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy
• Excellent human relations
• High-level English fluency

Job Summary:

As a laboratory manager, you will be responsible for the management of a laboratory facility.

Your duties will include overseeing and managing laboratory operations, coordinating activities, and ensuring that the facility operates in compliance with regulatory guidelines and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in science or related field (Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry) – required
2. At least 5 years of experience in laboratory management or related field
3. Proficiency in laboratory equipment – must
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and safety protocols – advantage
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
